EASTER BREAKFAST: Come celebrate Easter with breakfast between services on Easter Sunday (April 8, 2007) from 9:45 a.m. We will be serving egg bakes, sausage, rolls, orange juice, and coffee. Look for the sign up poster in the narthex if you would like to donate an egg bake. Breakfast will be served by the Emmaus youth. Check out our calendar for updates.
EMMAUS MUSIC TEAMS: Two of the Emmaus music teams are always seeking new members. Pam’s music team usually leads the 11:00 service on the first and third Sundays of the month. Ruth’s music team usually leads the 11:00 service on the fourth and fifth (when there is a fifth) Sunday of the month.
EMMAUS FESTIVAL CHOIRS sing for special services during the church year, including Christmas and Easter. Watch the for more information and rehearsal times. Easter Festival Choir rehearsals for 2007 will take place March 21, March 28, and April 4 in the evening after the Lenten services (approximately 7:45 p.m.). Come sing with us in the balcony! The Easter Choir will sing on Easter Sunday.
HAND BELL CHOIR is in cooperation with Bethel Lutheran Church. Rehearsals are at Bethel Lutheran on Wednesday nights. For more information contact Bethel Lutheran at 651-488-6681.
FOOD SHELF: Interested in donating food to the food shelves? Bring your donation the last Sunday of the month and Social Ministry will transport it to the local food shelf. Put your donations under the coat rack facing the front door.
BOX TOPS AND CAMPBELL’S SOUP LABELS FOR EDUCATION may be put in the blue box on the counter in the Emmaus office to be taken to Central Lutheran School. This year Campbell’s Labels for Education has changed their program from front labels to UPCs and Lids. Front labels will no longer be accepted. Please clip the UPC barcode from soup labels and bring those in to Emmaus instead of front labels. There is also a new listing of products and special bonus items available. For lists of eligible products and other information, you may visit www.labelsforeducation.com and www.boxtops4education.com.
INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING:Concordia Academy-Roseville is now a recycling drop-off site for used ink-jet and toner cartridges. Simply put the used ink cartridge in a plastic bag and bring it to church on Sunday. Drop off your ink cartridges at Emmaus in the yellow box on the counter in the office. The funds generated by the recycling will be used to purchase books for the Concordia Academy Library. Thank you for keeping the cartridges out of the land fills, and for helping CA raise funds for new books!
LWML MITE BOXES: You are invited to pick up a Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Mite Box from the narthex if you don’t already have one. Watch the Sunday bulletin for collection times.
